Ian and Katie – Wedding Photography in Burlington, VT

On June 4th, I had the pleasure of witnessing my friends Ian and Katie’s wedding in Burlington, VT. They got married in the treehouse at Oakledge Park, in a very “fairy tale” environment. I’m so glad I was there to see those two on such a happy and beautiful day!

Sarah and Brian

At the gorgeous Grace Episcopal Church in Madison, Sarah and Brian got married last week. The church was beautiful inside and out, from it’s amazing architecture, to the wood beams by the altar. Their reception at The Arlington was a lot of fun, and gave us the opportunity to get some pictures by the lake. The forecast of thunderstorms held up until seconds after we got back in! It turned out to be a beautiful day, for this fantastic couple, and I wish them all the happiness in the world.

Supermoon

I couldn’t resist – the moon last night deserved to be photographed.

Ka’Ren-Is Charmin – NJ Newborn Photography

I just had the pleasure of photographing this sweet 2-week old, Ka’Ren-Is Charmin, with her family. She was such a sweetheart! For such a young newborn she was incredibly attentive, with her beautiful eyes wide open. An adorable little model, she seems ready for the spotlight, probably taking after her parents, who are both musicians. :)

Turkey Brook Park – Casual Photoshoot – NJ Headshot Photographer

This past weekend I did a casual photoshoot \headshot session for Landers. We went to Turkey Brook Park in Flanders, NJ, to try to use the snow as the background. Well, we were not aware of two things: 1. instead of snow, what we had was ice, all over the park; 2. it was F-R-E-E-Z-I-N-G. By the end of it, I could barely speak, because my lips were frozen.

Landers was a trooper, did not complain about anything, not even when I asked him to risk his life on the ice, or when telling him to impersonate L.L. Cool J. :)

Katie and Ian – Budd Lake NJ Engagement Photographer

This past weekend my good friends Ian and Katie came to visit us in NJ, so we did a mini engagement session at the frozen lake and a nearby park covered in snow (where the boys attempted to go sledding, but that’s another story…).
I am so happy for those two, and I can’t wait for their wedding this summer! Thanks for letting me take your pictures, guys! :)

My best work ever

I have been away from the blog for a while now, but I have a good reason for that. A few weeks ago I fell deeply in love – with my first baby. She is a beautiful and healthy little girl, born in the middle of November, and I couldn’t be happier in my life right now. Very soon she will likely get tired of my camera following her around, but for now I get to enjoy the most beautiful model I have ever worked with. Taking pictures of her is my second favorite thing to do – the first being just looking at her, all the time.

Noah’s Ark – Petcasso 2010 – NJ Event Photographer

This past Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing the Petcasso event hosted by the Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter. It happened at the beautiful Skylands in Randolph, NJ.
Petcasso is a fundraising event where pets from the shelter create paintings that are offered at a live auction, as well as fixed prices. They also have a silent auction with items ranging from tickets to Cesar Milan’s show, to signed football, as well as an ipad.
I couldn’t resist and even bough some notecards and bookmarks. :)
The event was amazing, the food was fantastic (with lots of vegan options – I was happy!), and they even had this awesome local band called 3West entertaining throughout the evening.
It was a great cause, I’m happy to have helped, and as I’ve said before in this blog: if you’re interested in a pet, please, please, please, don’t buy one – adopt one of the many animals you can find at local shelters such as Noah’s Ark.

Sherwood Gardens – Baltimore, MD

We spent a couple of days in Baltimore, Maryland, visiting a friend, and trying to relax for a bit before the craziness of the next few months will start. I can’t really say we relaxed, because the heat was making it impossible for us to do anything, but we did manage to visit this very peaceful and gorgeous garden called Sherwood Gardens. The neighborhood was beautiful, with fantastic architecture in the nearby mansions. The gardens are known as one of the most famous Tulip Gardens in the world – however, since tulips only bloom in the Spring, we got to see other types of flowers.
